State Committee Election Guidelines:


Any professional member in good standing may run for a position on the committee.
The committee makes the decisions for our state. It would be a time commitment of attending a minimum of 4 Meetings per year on a quarterly basis. (more if we are planning an event). Oversee all State Meets, write and make changes to the State Rules and Policies, select judges for sectional and above competitions, determine the state rules for P.R.E.P Optional program, determine awards, age groups, state Meet dates, petitions, etc.

Other qualifications should be e-mail proficient with the ability to check e-mails often, positive attitude, keep meetings confidential and be dedicated to voting on issues that will benefit our state as a whole.
 
The voting positions on the committee are as follows:

 
1 Executive Secretary: Takes minutes at all meetings in correct format and returns them to the committee for approval in a timely manner, keeps the State Chair’s calendar, club list and clinic schedule up to date, prints certificates for all State Meet Entrants, and acts as the right hand for the State Chair. Any Professional Member may run for this position.
 
1 Judges Representative:  Liaison to the committee from NAWGJ. Responsible for getting all information out to the judges, getting judges information on the web-site such as testing dates, clinics and assignments for the season, and obtaining availability for State Meets. This person will also be assigned to get the State Meet information to the assigner for the contracts.
 
3 Coach Representatives: Responsible for Contacting the clubs assigned to them to give and receive information regarding State Meets, clinics, surveys, input etc. If State Meet is run by one of the gyms in their area, they will be required to meet with the meet host and oversee any issues regarding meet set-up, equipment and warm-ups.
 
2 At large positions: (may be a club owner, coach or judge) whose responsibilities will be Education, keeping updated records of our membership for State Meets, arranging for Safety Certification dates determined by expirations, keeping track of mobility and results and helping with awards at state meets.
 
Please e-mail  the State Administrative Committee Chair at cbennion@usagutah.com by July 8, 2008 at 5:00 PM with your intent to run for one of these positions (you must state which one you will run for) and a short 300 word or less resume listing your qualifications for the position and why you would like to serve on the committee. The voting instructions will be on the website (www.usagutah.com <http://www.usagutah.com> ) along with the resumes of the candidates. The voting will be conducted on the Web-site July 15-30th, 2008.  All candidates will be informed of the results by August 1st which is when their term of office will begin.
